Family House - More Than Just a Place to Stay.

We provide a special "home away from home" for patients and/or families who must travel to Pittsburgh for medical treatment. The generosity and support of Pittsburgh and the surrounding community, has enabled Family House to provide a comfortable haven to families and patients through stressful times.

In addition to housing, Family House and volunteer groups organize activities to offer a diversion and entertainment for patients and families. Seasonal holidays, movie nights, pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners and similar events are regular features at each Family House. Often times, tickets to area cultural and sporting events, received as gifts, are distributed to guests.

Guest rooms are available at a cost of $40 - $60 per night. Additionally, our Family Assistance Fund is available for guests who may need financial support. For more information, speak with your hospital social worker or our call Housing Office at 412-647-7777.
