On Friday, May 1, 2009 at 6:00 PM, Family House held its Family Assistance Benefit at the University Club in Oakland.

This event has helped to raise money for Family House since 2003. Featuring such entertainment as Capitol Steps and Franc D'Ambrosio, this benefit is very special to Family House, as it raises money for the Family Assistance Fund. This fund subsidixes our reduced room rates for families with financial need. Last year we gave away nearly $180,000 to families and anticipate that need to increase to almost $225,000 with the opening of Family House University Place.

The event featured a great night of dinner and dancing, while supporting an incredible cause. Attendees toured the new Family House University Place, dined in the newly renovated ballroom of the University Club and danced to the music of the Studio-e band.
